As you starting preparing yourself for the spring fishing and hunting seasons we are here to help. We will be holding Fishing and Hunting Seminars during the day and will be there to answer your questions. We will also have different activities for your kids to get a kick start into their outdoor year.

2:00 pm: Predator Hunting/Calls
From 10:00 am - 3:00 pm check out the Casting Station where we will have a member of our local Pro Staff team and Outfitters to help with the basics of casting. There will also be an Archery Range set up with a Pro Staff member there to teach them the basics of Archery shooting and safety.
We will have different Giveaways to kids that participate.**

Are you a first time camper or a seasoned veteran? Well no matter your skill level we invite you to our event here at Cabelaâs in Buda, TX.
We will be sharing our knowledge on the basics of camp set-up, camping etiquette, where to camp and how to safely hike in new areas. This will be a great opportunity to learn how to interact with the nature that lives around us.

This class is held in conjunction with our partner store Cabelaâs in Buda, TX.
This course is approximately 8 hours of training consisting of both classroom and range time. Your instructor will explain everything you will need to know regarding the range portion at the beginning of class.
While on the range, hands-on firearm usage/manipulation instruction is provided as necessary and to the skill level of the student. Basic marksmanship is taught: stance, grip, sight alignment, breath control, trigger control and follow through are highlighted as fundamentals to your accuracy.

March 14th:
11:00am - Boat Setup, we will be discussing the best way to set up a boat to make it easier for you to find what you need and to get the most out of your storage. We will also be talking about new technology in trolling motors and how to pair them with your other electronics to get the most out of the set-up.
2:00pm - Fishing Rods, there are so many options out there and when it comes time to find the best one for you it can be overwhelming. Well we are here to help you find the best set up for you and answer all of the questions you might have. We will discuss how the different powers and actions in rods perform and what is the best application for each.
March 15th:
1:00pm - Technique from A to Z, we will help you by showing you the how to line a reel and tie on a hook as well as flipping a jig up under a dock and everything in between.
The Hays County Sheriff's Office and We Are Blood will be hosting a Blood Drive on March 20th in front of the store from 12:00pm - 4:00pm.

11:00am - All About Line, if you are interested in learning about the differences in Monofilament, Fluorocarbon and Braid this is the place to be. We will be discussing what make them unique and the best situations to use each.
2:00pm - Electronics 101, we will have an Outfitter from the Marine department discussing depth finder and trolling motors and how they can work together to make your time spent on the water more successful.

Come out and bring the kids for our first Kids' Fish event of the season March 28th & 29th! We will have our live catch and release tank set up with Outfitters and our local Pro Staff there to help get more hookups and teach you and your kids how to take the fish off the hook. We will also have workshops at 1:30pm and 2:30pm each day discussing the Basics of Fishing and Knot Tying.
Come out on March 28th for our final day of Seminars for our Spring Fishing Classic.
1:00pm - Johnny Morris Carbonlite, we will discuss the rod and reel combos and how they will help you in your daily fishing ventures.
