The Thornton Cabela's opened on the same day as the Cabela's in Lone Tree, Colorado, and what a busy day that was! With all that there is to do in Colorado, it's no wonder we had to open up two locations in Denver. The Thornton Cabela's boasts an impressive 90,000 sq. ft. to serve the north Denver metro area. Located at I-25 and 144th Ave., this store was built in Cabela's next-generation format, designed to surround customers in the outdoor experience. Your kids will love the lifelike taxidermy and watching local fish swim in the aquarium, and we invite archers of all skill levels to try out a bow or crossbow in our indoor archery test area.
The Centennial State boasts mountains, rivers, trails, national parks, public hunting ground and lakes to satisfy every adventurer. Let our experienced Outfitters help you get the most out of your adventures in Colorado.

On Saturday, Februray 1st, we will be having a kids' craft day for our Trout Fishing Frenzy sale. For the adults you can come on in and talk to our Outfitters about ice fishing in our beautiful Colorado Front Range. The event will be from 10 am-3pm.

C​olo​rado Parks and Wildlife Hunter Education Courses, led by certified volunteer hunter education instructors and/or CPW staff, are offered throughout the state year-round.

Cabela's is proud to present a special guest speaker ANTHONY MASSEY- the author of The 18 Year Quest. He writes about his 18 year effort to summit all 55 of Colorado’s 14,000 feet mountains, all while wearing the same pair of boots, and surviving several near death experiences.
