Originally created by John Browning and produced from 1897 to 1935, the 1886 Sporting Rifle is a legend in firearm design. The Taylor's & Company® 1886 Ridge Runner Takedown Lever-Action Rifle brings the iconic lever gun into the modern age with modern metallurgy and a twist rate suitable for today's .45-70 Gov't loads. This model features the same takedown mechanism found in the original 1892 model, making it incredibly convenient to carry into remote locations. The 18.5" barrel features 5/8"-24 threading and comes from the factory with a muzzle brake. A threaded cap is included if you don't want to use the included brake. Black texture-coated walnut stock and forend. Fiber-optic front sight and integrated Skinner peep sight with Weaver rail for easy optics attachment.
