This emergency knife features a clip-point blade made of D2 steel, a cryogenically heat-treated, high-carbon tool steel. D2 steel delivers a razor-sharp edge with high levels of edge retention. The Trident AT comes equipped with SOG's patented AT-XR Lock, which allows for smooth, controlled, and lightning-fast openings, and it locks in place with rock-solid strength. In fact, once in place, this locking mechanisms can withstand up to 1,500 lbs. of force. It also boasts the Safety 2.0, an ambidextrous safety that's quick and easy to use because this spine-mounted, thumb-activated safety with deployment indicator aligns with your natural hand movements.
