It's built atop the same frame as all Shadow Systems pistols, with wrap-around texturing that gives supreme control during periods of rapid fire without wearing uncomfortably against your body when concealed. Featuring 3 interchangeable backstraps, the DR920 can be tailored to the shooter's natural point of aim. And lastly, the gently extended and upswept beavertail prevents slide bite without being oversized and in the way of a truly rapid draw. Where the War Poet model really stands out is the slide: aggressively angled serrations in front, rear, and topside, paired with a weight-balancing window cut that reduces reciprocating mass. All War Poet Series pistols come equipped with the patented multi-footprint optics cut, allowing for direct mount of most major optics brands with the longest and strongest screws in the industry. Inside, a match-grade barrel is conventionally rifled, spiral-fluted, and threaded for use with a suppressor. The drop-safe, flat-faced aluminum trigger has a 4.5–5 lb. break and crisp, tactile reset. A steel, green tritium-outlined front sight and serrated blackout rear sight complete the package.
