Use the Sawyer 1-Gallon Gravity Water Filtration System to filter large quantities of water as quickly as 7 minutes. The dual-threaded MINI filter makes an ideal addition to your backpacking, backcountry camping, emergency supplies. Certified for .1-micron filtration, this system removes 99.99999% of bacteria (salmonella, cholera and E. coli), 99.9999% of protozoa (cryptosporidium and giardia), and 100% of microplastics, exceeding EPA recommendations for removal rates. A high number of tiny U-shaped hollow-fiber micro-tubes trap contaminants while allowing decontaminated water to freely pass through at a high flow rate. This efficient filter eliminates the need to store water and reduces the possibility of water contamination after the filtration process. The sturdy filtering membranes withstand backwashing: use the included cleaning coupling using a standard plastic water or soda bottle (with 28mm threading) to restore up to 98.5% of the filter's flow rate each time you clean it. The MINI filter can be cleaned and often reused with a rating up to 100,000 gal., eliminating the need for expensive replacement cartridges. Optimize use by backwashing and sanitizing the filter after every outing. Screw the push/pull cap onto the MINI for easy on and off functionality to control water flow while filtering. Weighing just 4.5 oz., the 1-gal. Gravity bladder has a wide-mouth cap for fast filling and a convenient carry handle. Unscrew the wide mouth opening and fill the bag with water from any source—lake, stream, faucet, etc.—and connect the included tube between the bladder and the MINI filter. After filling, hang the reservoir and filter from a tree, the back of your pack, or simply hold it up with your hand. Water will flow through the MINI to produce fresh, clean water for drinking and cooking. For even more versatility, screw the filter onto most disposable water or soda bottles for drinking (or backwashing using the cleaning coupling), or attach it inline to tubing between your hydration pack and bite valve (not included).
