The simplistic single-shot design of the Savage® Mark I G Bolt-Action Rimfire Rifle leads to outstanding reliability and ease of handling. The Mark I G single-shot rifle makes a great "first gun" to learn shooting skills and firearm safety. Savage's AccuTrigger® allows you to obtain a crisp trigger release with no creep; a lever mounted within the trigger body blocks the sear unless the trigger is intentionally pressed in the center, minimizing the risk of accidental discharge. The 2-position thumb safety is easily reached for positive engagement. The Savage Mark I G rimfire rifle comes with front and rear open sights, well suited for small game hunting, informal target shooting, or plinking; and the receiver is drilled and tapped for attaching a scope base. The rifle features a blued steel barrel and receiver, and a handsome hardwood stock with sling swivel studs.
