The Savage® Axis XP Bolt-Action Rifle features a durable synthetic stock, dipped in TrueTimber® Strata® camo, and a matte-black-finished carbon steel barrel and receiver. The grip and forend are heavily textured for a secure grip, and the trigger guard offers plenty of room for a gloved trigger finger. The Axis XP comes with a factory-mounted and bore-sighted Weaver 3-9x40mm scope. A silky-smooth bolt and detachable box magazine provide uncompromised reliability, and the 2-position tang safety is easy to reach with either thumb. Sling swivel studs allow you to carry the rifle with a sling and/or attach a bi-pod to the forend, and a rubber recoil pad delivers superior comfort while shooting.
