Because the game-changing PENN® Fathom Electric Reel is equipped with its own fully integrated and replaceable lithium-ion battery pack, you can now move about freely to better fight your fish, as you need not concern yourself with cords and stationary power sources. This innovative reel also calculates your line out based on the actual programmed-in line diameter, for extreme accuracy at all times. Its integrated Autostop feature allows hands-free retrieval, and has an override in the form of a variable speed control knob that enables you to adjust the retrieve speed manually; the brushless motor generates ample drag power regardless of whether you're running chicken rigs, kites, or anything in between. The Fathom Electric Reel is built on the same platform as PENN's Fathom II Lever Drag series and is a self-contained 12V system; its motor and battery compartments are sealed to IPX6 standards against saltwater intrusion.
