The Magpul® Hunter American Stock is a drop-in, replacement stock for the Ruger American® short action rifle, to enhance the rifle's capacity for precision accuracy. The Hunter American stock is made from reinforced polymer with steel recoil lugs; and uses a Type III hard-anodized, machined-finished cast aluminum-bedding block, allowing the barrel to free float. The aluminum-bedding block also allows the barreled action to drop into the stock with no bedding required; and the barrel channel is wide enough to accommodate barrel profiles up to medium Palma, with no modification. The buttstock adjusts for length of pull, and comb height to accommodate a variety of shooting situations and sights. M-LOK® slots on the sides and bottom of the forend provide attachment points for aftermarket tactical accessories. Includes a bolt-action magazine well compatible with .308-based cartridges.
