The main tube is made of 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, and is sealed with a Argon/Krypton gas blend for waterproof and fogproof integrity. Leupold VX-5 HD Rifle Scope models with illuminated reticles feature MST (Motion Sensor Technology) that automatically deactivates illumination after 5 minutes of inactivity.
