The Browning® X-Bolt® 2 Medallion Maple Bolt-Action Rifle is a beautifully designed rifle with the accuracy and reliability to match its traditional good looks. Like all X-Bolts, the X-Bolt 2 Medallion starts with a steel receiver that's glass-bedded within the walnut stock. Glass bedding is an extremely intensive and time-consuming process, but it produces a true free-floated barrel that delivers consistent accuracy without interference from unnecessary contact points. The action is bedded within a premium AAAA-grade maple stock with gloss finish and rosewood caps along with flawless checkering. The steel sporter-contour barrel comes topped with a radial-style muzzle brake to reduce felt recoil. Functionally, the action has been upgraded with additional bolt guidance surface for smoother cycling; the spiral-fluted bolt has also been reworked and fitted with an improved handle and bolt knob. Completing the package is the DLX 3-lever trigger that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel. The DLX trigger comes pre-set from the factory at 3.5 lbs., and is adjustable down to 3 lbs. Other features include a short 60° bolt lift for optics clearance, X-Lock Scope Mounting System, and 1.25" Inflex recoil pad.
