The included Wilcox® G24 breakaway mount hooks up your duals to the included Team Wendy® Exfil LTP bump helmet. The breakaway feature allows the unit to disconnect under stress to reduce the potential for a neck injury. The included Team Wendy LTP (Lightweight, Tactical, Polymer) bump helmet provides impact protection in a comfortable helmet that offers a stable platform for NVGs. White phosphor gives you unmatched contrast and clarity, leading to less eye-fatigue than traditional green NODs (Night Optical/Observation Devices). Gray scale, what many would call black and white, is naturally more appealing to the human eye due to how rods on our eyes work. Maintain maximum situational awareness with the extra-wide 51° FOV (Field of View) and you'll experience the primary benefit to the BNVD-51 over a single monocular NVD like the PVS-14. NVGs (Night Vision Goggles) can give you the effect of your vision being slightly in front of where you actually are. Mitigating movement becomes much easier with dual tubes as they greatly enhance your depth perception. With the focus ring, you can adjust focus to read a book up close, or out to any distance. The gain knob ultimately allows you to adjust to the desired brightness level. The BNVD-51 has a built in IR illuminator (light visible through your NVGs, not to the naked eye), which allows you to navigate low-light areas and read where there's no ambient light. The Armasight BNVD also has an auto-gate feature, which means the unit can cut off bright light from damaging the tubes. With the helmet, mount, and NODs this is a complete wearable kit to get you into the field at night. While single tubes like the PVS-14 go to 10, this one goes to 11.
