The Type 99 series "0" was manufactured in the 1935-1940 time frame. This one is in fair condition, meaning pretty good for a battlefield rifle. The Arisaka rifles were unique for several reasons, but this one obviously has a chrome-lined bore. te arisaka was the first rifle that routinely used chrome lining. The Chrysanthemum on the boss is only half-way obliterated, and the part that remains is very sharp and clean.
