Orvis Encounter Fly Rod and World Wide Sportsman Landmark Fly Reel Combo

The Orvis® Encounter® Fly Rod and World Wide Sportsman® Landmark Fly Reel Combo is a great beginner fly-fishing setup for building confidence on the water.

Our World Wide Sportsman Landmark Fly Reel steps up with a fully sealed drag system boasting more surface area than you'll find on many saltwater conventional big-game reels. Alternating carbon fiber and stainless steel disks manage friction with ease, spreading heat across a wide surface area for smooth, consistent performance even under punishing runs. Built from cold-forged, CNC-machined 6061 T-6 aluminum, the frame pairs strength with minimal weight. A large-arbor design speeds up line retrieval and keeps your line memory low, so every cast and fight feels sharp and responsive. Subduing saltwater giants or freshwater brutes, this fly reel earns respect during the kind of fights anglers dream about.

The Orvis Encounter Fly Rod is a 4-piece fly rod built for new and younger anglers. Featuring exceptional performance at a great price, this Orvis fly rod boasts a full wells grip and delivers a smooth, crisp performance. Comes with a nylon-covered rod tube with internal dividers.
