Great for starter

I purchased this for the wife in the 30# model. Out of the box the bow is easy to assemble and take down as it should be. The limbs are not exactly labeled and I did have to show the wife which one was the top and which was the bottom since the only way to tell is by making a judgement as to the limb with the bow length and # needed to be the low limb. I was kinda sad to see no stringer included but had planned ahead. Those purchasing should realize this is not a shoot from the shelf bow and you will need an arrow rest. Not sure why this little piece of plastic couldn't have been thrown in for and out the box shooting experience but just keep that in mind. The bow looks alot cleaner on the website and though it is a nice looking bow, the center piece was not so glossy abd a bit rough around the edges. Mainly in the spots drilled for arrow rest or the predrilled stabilizer hole. All and all my wife is very happy with this bow and I have taken it out for a few shots and am not complaining one bit. It is fun to shoot and easy to handle. Wish they had a case for this and will need to look into if the Martin plastic case will also fit a 62" bow, but that is just nit picking. My wife loves it and for the starting archer who wants a recurve, this is your bow.

Well i went to the cabelas store in wheeling WV and i was looking at bows but i wasnt sure about my purchase. i asked a worker about my purchase and we built the bow and shot it in the range! i could try different arrows and draw weight. even if your not looking at this type of bow who cares! fire off a couple diferent ones. me being 5' 0" and weak i need to find a bow thats right for me.

Great Starter! Worthwhile Investment!

I bought this bow recently and was impressed by how easy it was to pick up, draw and shoot. I'm 5'4", female and my bow is 62" at 20 lbs and am a novice shooter.

It is a great bow to learn from, fun to use, very durable, beautiful for the price. Handle feels good, can be broken down for storage and mine came with a string. It does not come with a bowrest or anything else, however. Get a stringer for this one. Packs a punch (for hunters out there) -- I accidentally put a hole in a 2in steel door with feathered, composite field-tip arrows.

I would recommend this to most people of my stature and to those starting out.
