bought this for my 11 year old son to see if he could handle shooting a bow or even keep his interest. i would definitely recommend this as a starter bow for kids

The bow is very nice and it is good starter bow for young kids. I wished that I bought it soon for my daughter, she is a little older than than the age you said it was for, but it works great for her. I would recommend the bow for kids to start with.
