A generous layer of 400-gram Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation seals in warmth without weighing you down. Contoured EVA footbeds and midsoles cradle and support your feet. The non marking, slip-resistant rubber cupsole has a unique tread pattern that grips without collecting snow and ice.

These boots gave me a rash

Not only are these boots stiff to walk in and have no arch support (I wear 3/4 inserts to compensate and went up half a size too) but they have given me eczema where they rub against my legs when I walk (I am a serious walker). I recommend tucking your pants into the boots to avoid this problem: even then I get a rash. I can attest that they are warm enough.

I bought these boots in the store and settled for a size 6 when I really needed a 6-1/2. Still, they were snug and warm with my wool socks. A bit stiff and heavier than boots I've previously owned, but I was more interested in warmth because I have perpetually cold feet. They held up well until this winter, when the stitching around the zipper began to fray and the zipper would catch. I tried to clear the frayed area and ended up loosening the stitching instead, thus separating the zipper from the boot (approximately 1"). The repair shop said they were unfixable. Since they are three years old, they were past their warranty. Still, I am seriously considering another pair of Sorel Waterfalls. Hopefully, with better stitching. They were good while they lasted. With the exception of the zipper, the boots remain in excellent condition.
