I like this jacket very much. I usually wear a M in Cabela's clothes, but ordered a L because I didn't want it to be too fitted. It is enormous, but I don't mind because it is so lovely to wear. The one thing I would like different though is some elastic on the cuffs. Even though the sleeves are big on me I can't push the sleeves up - they have no give in them at all. Still, softest, comfiest jacket ever. Lovely purple too!

XL I ordered is smaller than any other XL item I own, but still fits just fine.

Fits loose on top, but more fitted in hips

The measurements on my fleece are the exact same as the experts (listed Q & A) for size medium, except they don't coincide in the chest as mine is 44.5 not 41.5. Also the length is 26 in front and 27 in back. Maybe I got a defective fleece as it is huge in the chest/waist area and balloons out. I'm a consistent size medium, between petite and reg., size in height. This completely covers my hips, if I sized down I don't think it would fit in that area then and my hips are 37". I guess I'm stuck with an oversized fleece as I don't want to waste more money sending it back. I held this up to another size large fleece and it was exactly the same. It is however, the softest fleece I have ever felt.
