Love my Console Vault! (2007 Tundra)

I just got this Console Vault for Christmas (2011) and I Love it! I think I had it installed in less than 30 minutes, start to finish. Installation was easy. The 12 volt outlet in the console of the Tundra is still usable as the top of the vault will sit below the outlet. Once installed, there is still room to put things that don't need secured on top of the vault.
It fits like a glove and seems very sturdy/solid. I feel much better about leaving a firearm or valuables in my truck! What a great concept!
You will NOT regret this purchase!

Very easy to install, fits well, excellent quality security for my '05 Silverado (purchased model with combo lock).
I work at a place that doesn't allow firearms, but concealed carry every place I can. This allows me to lock my pistol up whenever I am going in to somewhere that prohibits without worrying about it being stolen.
We also have watercraft, and this gives me a way to lock up our wallets and other valuables while out on the water. My wife left her wallet in it all week while we were camping as we were always together and I had my wallet with me.
I purchased a couple weeks prior to a trip last year, and when it looked like it wouldn't be here in time I called the manufacturer. They were very helpful and responsive, shipped it the next day, and upgraded the shipping to overnight at no charge so I would have it in time.
Very satisfied! My friends are jealous!!

I purchased the item for my 07 f250 king ranch after it had been broken into. It fit great and now I dont worry about leaving certain items in my truck. The new roller combination is great. I would recommend this too anyone and will not buy another truck without it. Great item.......

The vault appears really well made, and the powdercoat finish looks (and has been) really durable. Installation was a snap, and I can't see how you would ever get this thing out of the console without having access to the bolts (which are inside the vault). The keyed lock was a bit difficult to use, as the key won't come out of the lock when it is in the 'unlocked' position. That basically means you have to have the console lid latched and locked at all times, as the factory console lid won't close with the key in the lock.
This was all resolved with replacement of the keyed lock with a combination cabinet lock (now an option on the Console Vault from the factory). Now you can keep it locked or unlocked, but still closed and latched.
While not undefeatable, this would most certainly deter all but the most dedicated "smash and grab" car burglar. I wouldn't own a vehicle with a center console without a Console Vault.
