Don't get me wrong, this is a beautiful jacket. I adore how it looks from all angles. It is soft, comfortable, and appealing to the eye. But if you are an interior northwest alaskan, this coat won't get you through the 30 to 60 below zero temperatures in Dec. thru Feb. It is far too lightweight and too delicate a jacket for its price tag. And if you plan to layer, order a size up. Otherwise, get a parka.
I recently purchased this coat! It is hands down the best winter coat I have ever had. The fabric quality is excellent and it is very warm. I purchased it for warmth and layers because we are going on vacation to Alaska. I also love the color of coat. I purchased the brown/burgundy . The only recommedation I have is make sure you do not order this coat to small. It is a more tailered fit. It is very figure flattering!
