Cabela’s 550-fill-power goose down is nature’s best insulator. Add an unquilted exterior and you get a warm parka with a smooth, sleek silhouette. Polyester shell with a luxurious suedelike feel. Teflon® finish forms an invisible shield, preventing moisture and stains from penetrating fibers. Unzip the two-way zipper from the bottom up to sit without bulk. Removable coyote-fur ruff and hood. This Coat Has It All and More!

I was looking for another down coat this winter, and should have tried Cabelas first! I ordered it in Smoke, and am really pleased with the color. It seems to run just a tad large, but I like my winter coats roomy for layering. One thing I like that I didn't notice mentioned in the other reviews is the discreet outer pockets. I didn't even notice them at first, and was almost afraid to open them, because I thought the zipper might catch. Even though these pocket zippers are hidden, they glide open and shut smoothly. This coat seems exceptionally well made for the price.
This coat has all the features I wanted, and a few nice extras. The Velcro tab for adjusting the hood on the back is a really nice extra that I didn't expect, and I really like the pretty embroidery down the arm. It's a good weight for this part of the country, with moderately cold winters.
Thanks for offering such a beautiful and practical coat at this reasonable price. I love it!

Beats North Face!

I have always bought North Face brand but decided to purchase this coat because of the style, price and reviews it had received. This is much warmer than my 700 North Face and has so many better features. The coyote collar is super thick, the pockets are large and the craftmanship is high quality. I have received so many compliments when wearing this coat, with most people thinking it cost a fortune (whiich of course it didn't). Also, have worn it the past few days when the temperature dropped down to 20 degrees below zero and I didn't get cold at all. Super warm, super buy, super coat!

beautiful parka

This warm parka is beautiful! I am a "winter person" and love the cold weather because I know how to dress for it. Since my other jacket was stained I had to replace it. I was worried I wouldn't find anything as warm.... One of the many attributes to this jacket is the natural coyote fur. Try it as opposed to synthetic hood ruffs which do nothing to keep out the cold wind. Because this hood is adjustable, it actually fits my head which takes a size small, hat. The only thing I do not like about the jacket is the velcro sleeve; I'd prefer a gathered inner cuff. It is a sleek, well designed parka, other than that one thing. Love all the pockets, inside and out. If u want to stay warm buy this.

Great Coat

I wanted a warm parka that was not black in color as so many are these days. Found this one in Cabelas catalog, decided to order it. It is a beautiful color and a beautiful coat (parka). The fur is high quality as is the entire coat. It is very warm. Wore it last night when it was 7 degrees here in Buffalo, NY and I was as snug as a bug in a rug. Could not feel 1 ounce of cool air coming in anywhere. Can't say enough good things about this parka. So glad I bought it. I will admit that I normally wear a size large in a coat (12 to 14) (my blouse size is medium to large) as I like room so many times I buy an x-tra large coat to fit sweaters underneath. I originally ordered this coat in an x-tra large and it was way too large so I exchanged it for a size large and I still have ample room. This coat runs large so order your normal size do not go up a size for fitting sweaters underneath because your normal size will have plenty of room. You will never be disapointed in this coat it is so warm and snuggly--I love it.
