Happiness is a great winter coat.
Date:
As mentioned by another customer, check the length on description. I had unknowingly ordered the shorter one. It was absolutely beautiful, but I returned it for this longer one. This one is a large in deerskin and very nicely trimmed. The fur has kept my face from frost bite when I was outside for long period of time. It hasadjustable velcro sleeve cuffs and snaps almost to the hem. Flip up the hem and there is a drawstring to tighten it up if your sitting outside. Outside pockets are zippered instead of velcro which I liked on my older cabela long coat. There are two inside pockets, very nice surprise. Does keep the cold wyo wind out. Well worth every penny and even more so since it was on sale. Thank you, Cabela's.

This is a beautiful down coat
Date:
My husband tried to buy one for me at christmas, but they had sold out of size small at the store. After christmas I was able to purchase one at another store and they shipped it to me. They were wonderful. I can't say enough about it. It is a beautiful coat. Only hope that I will actuaully get to wear it more next winter. I love the fact that it is down but is not quilted like most down coats. The micro-suede is nice and soft and does repel moisture. Love the hidden zip pockets to and the inside pockets are genorous. the adjustable cuffs and zip up/snap up neck is great for keeping out the cold. The long length is wonderful also for keeping warm. The hood is removable, but I really like it. The deerskin is a beautiful color.

Super warm and very long
Date:
I'm 6' and this coat hits my calves. I ordered the XL as I'm tall and usually need the length and shoulders of an XL size. I don't think the arms are as long as they should be for an XL and hit right at my wrist. I think the Large would have been too short in the arms. The pockets are a good size and are situated appropriately. The hood is very warm and the fur buffers wind very well. The 2-way zipper allowed me to unzip the lower half of the coat for driving. The zipper seems of decent quality and moved easily without a fuss.
Overall, I love this coat. We're moving to a colder climate and I am thrilled I was able to find something so warm at a decent price. We've only had one night with temps below 20 and I tried out the coat. It was toasty and warm. This is definitely a coat for slow moving. It will keep you very comfortable on short walks and when you're sitting outside. With a long sleeve t-shirt it was very warm with temps around 20.
I agree with other posters that the fur around the hood looked a little shaggy as compared the photo. I am hoping that was from it being sealed and shipped and it will fill out once it hangs for a while. I may take a brush to it.
The coat was featured on the cover of the winter catalog and I fell in love as soon as I saw it. I love it and will check the parkas for alternate colors as the Deerskin was the only color I saw in the coat for the 2011-2012 winter season. I would probably invest in a coat of another color if it were to be available. Until then, I will consider getting the parka version for wear on days when the weather doesn't call for a calf length coat. While it is not very flattering (seriously, it's calf length and down), it makes up for it with the quality of design and staying warm.
I'm not sure how well this coat does with snow or rain and how water resistant the fabric is.

Fur ruff
Date:
I love the coat, but the fur ruff leaves something to be desired. It doesn't look like the picture. In fact, I've seen fluffier fur on road kill. It's actually ugly and flat and the fur is short.
