A lighter version of our popular Perfekt Hikers produced by master boot makers at Meindl. Multilayer Perfect footbeds encompass four layers of feet-protecting technologies for incredible comfort on long hikes. Layers include cork that custom molds specifically to the contours of your feet. Moisture-managing and moisture-dispersing layers keep feet dry. Poron cushioning in heels protects knees and joints from ground shock. Supple nubuck uppers are waxed for extra abrasion resistance from the bumps in the road. Waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® membranes form a barrier from the wet ground. Meindl Multigrip rubber outsoles have shock-absorbing EVA midsoles for added ground protection. Compatible with Perfekt Replacement Footbeds by Meindl to extend the longevity of the footwear. Imported.

worth the money

I got these for Valentines Day... I was a bit skeptical because I wasn't sure if the sales lady was just trying to sell me something or if they were a good pair of boots. I have lots of back problems and a bone spur on my left foot so I am pretty finicky. I love Danskos but since they don't make a hiking boot I had to trust another brand. Two days- approx 18 hours worth of use I am in love with these boots. Super sturdy, reasonably warm, no backaches, very comfortable. I have only worn them at work but I have no doubts that this will be the only brand I ever buy again for outdoor boots. I was worried about the price but if you go cheaper you will just have to replace them and end up spending more money in the long run. So go on. Try them out, buy em you will love them. Also be sure to keep trying on the sizes, I normally wear a nine but ended up with a 7.5; my boyfriend bought the same thing but in the men's version. He loves them as well but he also had to go down a size and half. Well worth the investment!

I bought these boots for my wife to use on her hike to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. She loves the boots and how comfortable they were on her hike. No sore feet, blisters, or any problems whatsoever. She went during January (their summer) and had no problem with cold feet by wearing a thick pair of warm socks while hiking to the summit (temps in the teens). She wore regular hiking socks on the other days.They do run a bit big, so try them on if possible before buying. She usually wears an 81/2 but bought a 71/2. She did have another pair of a different brand of boots at first, but they continued to give her sore feet even after extensive break-in. These boots required very little break-in. They are well worth the money! Another great Cabela's product.
