The X4 softens steps like no other casual shoe you’ve worn. The key is the shock-absorbing heel and forefoot and molded EVA midsole. It has a multitrack carbon rubber outsole for durability and superior traction. Polyurethane anatomic footbed and the X4 midfoot bridge add extra support. Premium waterproof leather and Dry-Plus® ensure your feet stay dry.
Women’s sizes: 6-11 B and D widths. Half sizes to 10.

I have been having heel pain for some time now. These shoes come up high enough to use my orthodics and comfortably hold my heel in place without slipping. Since I have been wearing the shoes, my heel pain has been greatly reduced. I walk my dogs everyday and these are great for all types of weather.

These shoes are well made and comfortable. I love that they are waterproof. They are a good quality shoe for the money. I would say they run narrow, so unless you have narrow feet, get the wide width.

A shoe for my wife

Bought this shoe for my wife - she has a problem with the ball of her foot (one of them) and I hoped that this woudl help her while she is walking. It took her a few times wearing them to work them in, but she likes their sturdiness and the good traction she gets when walking. The fit was true to size.
I also bought her a pair of the Merrill walkers - and those she just loves for their superior comfort and lightweight - but she stilll wears these especially on rainy days. (I think she is saving the Merrills for nice days, because she likes them so much).
