Great shoe, but order 1/2 to 1 size up

I wear a size 8 narrow typically (sometimes 8.5), but in this shoe I had to get a size 9. I love the shoes though. Great support for my high arches. The thick leather is perfect for winter when boots aren't necessary. The shoes are light weight too...almost like sneakers. I would suspect if you have wide feet you might not find these as comfortable as the bed fits my narrow feet perfectly (usually I need to add an insert or the laces meet up from each side b/c I need to pull it so tight together). The tread is unique but effective. Once I got the right size, I have no complaint about the shoes.
