I bought these boots to get me through the cold and snows of the Rockies...and, I got a deal. At first glance I thought they were going to feel too bulky and uncomfortable. I was wrong. These boots are extremely warm, allow for ease of foot movement, and repel moisture well. Way worth the money.
I purchased these for my wife after having my own pair for a year. I loved them and knew she would as well. She was adamant that she didn't need any snow boots because she had some old "waterproofed" Timberlands probably from junior high. Needless to say, once I opened them up, and she tried them on she had a different view.
These boots are extremely warm and the insulation is so soft. It feels like you have a pillow laced around your foot! lol I've used them in the snow, and also for hunting, and my feet have never been uncomfortable in them. I'd definitely recommend them and actually have already!
The boots keep your feet warm, but the heel has no support and so it digs into the back of my ankle and makes it impossible to walk in. I have never had problems with snow boots or hiking boots, so I am pretty sure it is not my foot.
When i first got them I tried to break them in by walking a short distance (1 or 2 miles) and I got sores on the back of my ankles, I thought maybe it was a one time "break in" deal, although I usually don't have to go through that. A week or so later I tried walking in them and it was even worse. I then tried to used them a bit for ice fishing, figuring i wouldn't be walking much - but by the end of the day my feet were still killing me. HORRIBLE PURCHASE - although they are fairly cheap what a waste of money.
Bought these boughts for a family member who likes to hunt but whose feet love to freeze. Her review: "Awesome boots!! Feet are toasty now when used with the super warm Cabelas wools socks". I think she'll be spending more time on stand now!
