Cabela's Apple Crusher

The Apple Crusher has a perforated drum that rotates inside the housing. This makes quick work of softening fruits with hard or tough skin. The crusher used with the wine press makes wine making with apples much easier.

Sturdy and Effective apple crusher

I liked that this came fully assembled and ready-to-use. I used it on a counter top with the discharge over one end. This can easily handle small apples cut in half, or larger ones in quarters. Might have handled some small ones whole but I like to check inside the apple anyway for rot or bugs. Appears to be very sturdy and produces a good mash for the cider press. It does take a while to clean when you're done, unless you take the time to disassemble it a bit.

Apple Crusher Works Well

The apple crusher works well. We used it to make 25 gallons using the hand crank. We then added a pulley and electric motor for another 20 gallons. The motor modification made things easier and faster.

Works great. The handle is a little anemic, so I added a flywheel approx 10 lbs and a spinning handle from the local Tractor Supply.
