Put a tungsten beadhead on the popular, all-purpose Prince Nymph, and you have a killer combination. Tungsten is heavier than brass, so the fly sinks deeper and faster without adding as much cast-impairing lead. This put the flies in front of fish for a longer drift. The Prince Nymph is particularly effective on rivers with hatches of black caddis. Per 12. Sizes: 12, 14, 16.
The bead head prince is the most versatile fly ever invented. I have used in rivers from California and Washington to Virginia up the east coast. Always works. Several sizes may be needed (that's why I always buy by the dozen in various sizes for 10 to 20. Cabela flys are also good quality.
I use this pattern in regular, brass bead and tungsten bead. All three have a purpose and slay trout. This is one of my most product fly patterns. Quality is very good. I highly recommend these flies.
