The combination of a balsa top section and a lead antimony weight all wrapped in a special rubberized coating keeps the weight upright through heavy cover. The outer coating of epoxy adds a slick finish to slide the weight through weeds and vegetation.
The standard No-Snagg balances atop a stainless steel wire. Per 6.
Sizes: 1/8 oz., 1/4 oz., 3/8 oz., 1/2 oz., 3/4 oz., 1 oz.
I use these slip sinkers with the Cabelas floating crawler harness and the snaggs are nonexistant and I can get the bait right to where the walleyes are.
Don't know why they call them no snag cause they still do but their still better than anything out on the market to date. I use them when I drift for walleyes. I wish they would make a 5/8th oz.
Have been using No-Snagg since they first came out well over a decade ago. Have tried several other systems, but for precise sinker/snell presentation for live bait and/or Berkley baits, I have found no other weight system that gives as good feel and feedback with the use of small diameter Fireline or braided line with Florocarbon snells. Each summer, we spend a week on LacSuel where these systems really get put to the test with snaggy bottom. No-Snaggs work great in river systems with current. Need to pick the correct weight for the depth in order to keep the system as verticle as possible, but no heavier than necessary. As mentioned, the smaller diameter braided lines have enhanced the use of these weights as they are more resistent to line bow from current/trolling pressure.
