Take the work out of rolling your canoe or kayak down to the water or out to the shed at the end of the season with these easy-to-use carriers. Imported.
Available:
Aluminum Canoe/Kayak Carrier – Carries up to 200 lbs. and folds flat for convenient storage. Protective cushions hold the frame tightly to the bottom of a canoe or kayak with the included tie-down straps. 12-1/2" pneumatic tires roll over obstacles with ease.
Weight: 7-3/4 lbs.
Steel Canoe Carrier – Rolls easily over rough terrain. Adjusts to fit any hull shape. Constructed of steel tubing and powder-coated for years of reliable service. Folds flat for easy storage. Keel guides and pads secure canoe in place, preventing slipping or tipping. Kickstand for easy loading and unloading. Not designed for transport behind a vehicle. Comes with air pump, tire repair kit and adjustable strap. Carries up to 195 lbs. Pull by hand only. One-year guarantee.
If you plan on hauling your boat loaded down with gear over rough terrain, this product is for you. Probably a little heavy/bulky for the light duty use. Consider a small ratchet strap for securing it more tightly to you boat when in use. Inflatable tires are the best for rough terrain, but you will likely need to add air if it sits more than a week or two (normal for low volume tires.)
Works well on flat ground with only canoe. Wheels buckle with 150 lb. load (including canoe) over rough ground. I will attempt to replace wheels with 16 in. bicycle wheels.
First, we purchased the cheaper one, but would not reccomend it to anyone. Had lots of issues...
We went back and found this one, it is more durable,..
we live just a block and a half from the lake so we wanted something that we could just pull the canoe down the road and right to the lake front with no problem. This does it and with no problem of falling out from under the canoe like the cheaper one, when you go onto an uneven part of the road and also on the uneven sandy beach.
Wish you would have had this the first time around!
