Staying aboard your floatable shouldn't be a drag, nor involve any drag. This booster ball lets towables cut corners with a gliding grace. A tow rope is connected to both ends of the inflated buoy, lifting the rope out of the water for greater maneuverability and less water backsplash. The heavy-gauge PVC bladder is covered by an 840-denier nylon cover that zips on. Enhances overall performance of all doables and most regular one- to four-person towables. Rope has a 4,100-lb. break strength. 60-ft. overall length.
This thing works great! We used to always have problems with the rope grabbing water and not allowing the tube to move freely, but this things solves all of those problems. It is an absolute must if you are towing off of a harness hooked to the eye-hooks of the boat.
We tried out the Booster this last week while on vacation and we had issue with the spray that came off of the ball. We have a open bow jet/sea doo boat and the small rooster that comes off the boat was hiting the top of the ball creating an even bigger rooster. The ball does do what it was designed for which is creating less drag on the tube from the rope going through the wake and on smaller tubes seems to work even better than with the larger tubes. We tried it out on a variety of tubes and our larger 3 man tube did not perform as well with the Booster.
It worked great and the best part is that I think it makes the fact that you're towing a tube more visible to other boaters. We were very pleased with the product and how fast it was shipped.
I had trouble with slack in the line when getting agressive while tubing. My friend and I were getting pretty banged up, but we love getting flung from side to side. Since getting the sportsstuff booster ball, we have not had one instance of slack in the tow rope. This product seems to do all it says it will. I am very happy with this purchase.
