    Inexpensive, effective blind
    Date:
I had issues with the included nuts and bolts rusting. The blind fit my boat and the 3D camo works well. The screw downs that attach the blind to the boat could work better as well, they have a tendency to rust and need oiled. If you are going to buy the blind and blind material dont bother unless you also purchase the wind blocker material, that works GREAT. This blind works well for the money and I am happy with the result.

    Boat Blind
    Date:
Well I ordered the blind and just put it on my boat. I read alot of the reviews before purchasing and for the most part there were no surprises when I went to install.
You could do it by yourself but having a buddy come over to help is definately a good idea. We put the frame together one evening which took about 2 1/2 hours. And then I put the mesh and marsh grash on which took another 3 -4 hours by myself.
Things to watch for - I have a narrow 14 ft jon boat, 48" at its widest. the unit hangs over the side almost a foot when in the travel position which means basically that paddles are useless and will have to get a push poll. Also for travelling the straps that are to band up the boat in travel mode don't fit as the top Bar folds down way to far from the bottom bar so I have had to devise another system to protect the Marsh Grass during travel.
Make sure you leave enough room at the stern of the boat for your motor to properly turn. IN the instructions they show the palcement of the rear posts way to close to the motor to have full range of motion or to pull the motor into the up position.
This think looks really good when its all put together and is solid. I didn't have problems with the ties provided so perhaps the manufacturer has heard the complaints about quality and made some changes here. The metal frame does rust very easy, It rained a few days between my iunstalling the frame and putting the marsh grass on the boat and I could already see rust running off the bars.
It does make the boat a little restrictive for moving around with the bars crossing the boat so while its fine once your in, on a cold day where the muscles don't work so well you have to be carefull crawling over the cross beams.

The blind is nice because of the ability to collapse. However I got the marsh grass with it and it does not blend in with much other than cattails. Unfortunately for me I never hunt in cattails. This blind would be amazing if they could come up with a camo that blends in with reeds. Overall, this is a nice blind and there is a lot or room in the blind for movement. However, it took me about a day to mount to my boat, just because i placed it on a v-hull boat. Make sure to have a hacksaw too.
