Good product, great customer service
Date:
I ordered this blind about three weeks before opening day here in Vermont and received it within a few days, as expected. I was in the middle of a major resotration project on my boat and planned to have the work done by the weekend before the season opened and then install the blind. I completed the restoration work on schedule, but when I opened the box that contained the blind, I discovered that the hardware kit was missing. It was a Saturday and with only two shipping days before our Wednesday opener, there seemed to be little hope that I'd be able to use the blind. I called Cabela's, however, and to make a long story short, they got the parts to me by noon on Tuesday (thanks Cindy!) and I was able to install the blind (which is a piece of cake if you're the least bit handy) and hunt from it on opening day. The blind works great and is everything that I expected it to be, but the real story here is the fantastic customer service from Cabela's. I have been and will continue to be a lifelong customer.

Excellent Blind but tough to install
Date:
This is a great blind, and I hunted out of it a good bit in a couple different conditions. Putting it on the first time was really a lot harder than what they made it out to be. After that its been great. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because bungee design used to strap it down is not very good. Its next to impossible to use when its very cold. Maybe the straps contract, I don't know. I solved the problem by just buying $5 worth of velcro straps and it works great.

Fantastic blind
Date:
I have hunted out of boats with permanent aluminum blinds and this is really even better. Because the blind folds so neatly into the gunwales of the boat, it is much safer to travel to and from your hunting spot. All of the hardware included is very well designed and easy to install. The directions don't come with it as others have mentioned, but they are easy to download.
I am not a fix-it-man type of a person at all. I can barely do the simplest household repairs. However, this blind has such clear instructions and is so well designed that I was able to install it in about five hours. The frame is easy to customize for any boat by cutting with a simple hacksaw or bending the frame.
The best aspects of the blind are 1) It raises directly up from the corners to create a straight 'wall' on all sides of your boat rather than a teepee-like enclosure. This allows for maximum space inside to be used for gear, people, etc. I hunt with my kids and having lots of space inside the blind is very helpful. 2) It is very sturdy and adjustable. 3) The corner attachments that you permanently install make it easy to take the blind off and on.
Lastly, one thing that I don't think is mentioned in the product description is that the blind comes with two drink holders, two shell holders and two barrel rests. Nice additions to an already terrific package.

Worth the effort
Date:
I have an Avery Quick-Set on a 16'X56" Go-Devil. I am fortunate to spend 50+ days a year in it waterfowling. Putting it together was a labor of love at best. And, I must admit, I am still tinkering with it. The latest enhancement is making the bow of the boat a little alcove for the dog(s). It does not go up as fast as an X or scissors blind, but it does not have the brackets in the way either. Having hunted out of these types of blinds, those brackets are in the way of hunter and dog. Once erected, the blind makes for a spaceous, hinderence free interior. My preference is the Avery fast grass for concealment. Due to the color changes that often occur in the marsh, over the course fo the season, as well as a change in hunting local, I carry on board a bag with several different colors of spray paint and touch up the fast-grass with the appropriate color of paint to better blend the blind into the surroundings. Another tidbit is to tie a stout string to the D-rings.
