excellent water purifier

Used 3 days at devils river, the water tasted great better than bottled water. This is a must have for people who have bug out bags or regularly go off the grid camping where weight is a factor. This is very light and compact maybe the size of a 20Oz water bottle.

Exactly what I was looking for!

Yes this is more expensive than iodine pills and you could just boil all of your water or pack it all in when going on your next backcountry adventure. However if you are reading this, you are looking for another option in water purification. I find the Vario easy to use with minimal effort and also quite fast. It has well written instructions and nice accessories included (Carry bag and lubricant). My only real complaint is the size as it is larger than I thought it would be. If you are a minimalist backpacker, you may want to look for a smaller unit.
