I have an older version of this vise and it works just fine for all my rifles. Very adaptable and useful. Also like the "gun vise" for smaller guns and handguns.

My wife bought be this vise for Christmas. Has been very handy for cleaning my rifle. I haven't tried it for my pistol yet, but feel it should be solid enough. I have a 22 target rifle and it works well for it as well as my light 22's. Has a good slant so cleaning fluids run out the end of the barrel and not back into the bolt action.

I think this vice has too much flex in the hold down clamps for scope mounting. It dosn't hold as well as it should to keep the firearm level. It works well for gun cleaning.

Needed a gun vise for both rifle and pistol. This one serves well for both. It's completely adjustable and pretty sturdy. A good bargin for the price. The only draw back for me is the clamping vise could have been a little tighter especially on pistols.
