Good tent for the hunter and the tourist.
Date:
Quite compact, well made. Because of one layer there will be a condensate by the morning - but it is a payment for tent weight. It is possible not to take a rack in wood, and to cut out sticks from branches having facilitated tent. As a whole it is excellent for the hunter.

Nice tent for price.
Date:
This tent is getting a 3 star review only because I wish and am going to have a screen put into it. I\u2019ve used this tent for the past two years hunting in southwest Wyoming. I has with stood strong winds and some rain. Like I said I really wish it had an internal screen so you could keep the big flap/awning open and keep the bug out.

Winter use of Cablea's hunter bivouac
Date:
I enjoy cross country skiing, snow shoeing and winter camping. Often, I go solo. The hunter bivouac allows me to set up a secure camp. Because one side completely zips out of the way, Setting up sleeping pads, sleeping bags, and personal items inside the tent is not a problem. At 10 degrees above and below zero, you can change in to dry socks and sleep wear and get into your tent-sleeping bag and still prepare a hot meal just outside your tent. I have been out in some very cold and windy conditions, 30 to 60 mile an hour winds. I always set up on the leeward side of a ridge or mountain. I can't imagine single pole construction of any type that could stand up to the force of strong winds. That being said, The Cablea's hunter bivouac was outstanding. Have some decent photos of the bivouac at work in the field but I don't see anyway of getting them out with the review.

Better than most.
Date:
A very decent tent! Most tents Ive had in the past have had fiberglass poles that broke immediately, this one has aluminum poles that are great. This tent is small enough to be stealthy, yet large enough to move around some and store a pack and a few other items. Its easy to set up and the camo color blends well into the woods. The tent is very light and compact and a breeze to carry in a pack.
The only complaint I have is that the large door really should have a screen on it, otherwise the awning is almost useless.
