Wii Reel controller for fishing game.

Me and my wife bought the fishing game and controller for our Wii,to enjoy cause we both love fishing.The first time she went to cast, the controller snapped off at the base where it connects to the handle.Took it back not thinking it was a flaw with the design, got it replaced started to play the game for the 2nd time,and it happened again. I would like my money back. By the way, I redesigned it for our purpose to atleast play the game we enjoy, and it's looks the same as before but stronger. Has not broke and reels in the fish we think even better. Where there's a will, there's away.

Best fishing game so far

I purchased the PS3 model and have to say this game was great. You get all aspects of actually being out there fishing. Driving the boat, using a depth finder, casting, and retrieving. Multiple species of fish. Many upgrades as you play through the game and lots and lots of tackle. In the others reviews there was complaints about the controllers, Maybe thats the WII models but the PS3 models fishing controller is pretty sturdy. I've had the game for 3 months now and I'm buying another for a friends B-day. Get this game if you like fishing you wont regret it.

Needs improvement

We gave this game to our 8-year-old grandson for Christmas. The first time he used it, the bottom part of the rod and reel broke, where the two sections meet. Since I haven't been able to find a way to replace just the rod and reel, and he doesn't want to use the game without that part, I cannot give it a good review. Hoping that a better rod and reel will be offered soon, separately, since I wouldn't take a chance on buying the whole game combo again.

Great Game, Lousy Rod and Reel

I purchased this game as a gift for a 7 year-old. The first time he cast with the rod, the bottom portion broke off. The construction of the rod and reel is very poor. Other than it breaking the game is really great. You really don't need the rod and reel to play the game effectively, but it would make the game play a bit more realistic. I cannot give this product a recommendation until the rod and reel is redesigned to handle any amount of movement without breaking.
