This vest is excellent! It is lightweight, very warm and is great by itself or for layering. The price is half of comparable brands.I would advise others to consider this vest.

"Ripstop shell" does not perform its function. My clothes are covered in goose down. I would not advise you to buy this product if you do not want to constantly clean their clothes from fluff.

In my opinion, this is the best value in goosedown apparel out there. It fits well, the pockets zip shut, the molefur collar lining is comfortable, it is WARM,it is exceeding comfortable too wear. you will forget its on.the quality compares equally with that other manufacturer who makes a "goosedown sweater".it packs down small in your rucksack. go on and buy the darn thing....I Will be getting the jacket AND another vest on payday........

The vest seems decently made and if the 750 fill rating is accurate, it's a bargain. However, it was pretty darn irritating to select an item color called "True Navy" and have it turn out to be a not very masculine shade of dark lavender.
I realize Cabela's isn't a boutique outfitter that has a chance to test all the gear, but you'd think any buyer would have taken one look at this line of merchandise and nixed that misleading name choice.
