    I bought these because Cabela's no longer stocks Food Saver rolls at the Hamburg store. They are not near the quality of the Food Saver brand and the little cutter was too dull to cut the rolls off after about 20 passes. After 3 weeks I'm already finding unsealed packages that leaked.

    I was hoping these bags would be a great alternative at a better price. Not so much. These bags rarely seal on the first attempt. Most leaks are slow, so they are not noticed until you pull frozen items out of the freezer to use them, and then discover the bag has come open and your food is freezer burned.

    I just got done packaging an elk, a mule deer, a dozen pheasants and a bunch of ruffed grouse. I did not have a problem with any bags, both 8" and 11". Very impressive. I think Cabelas could either make their logo smaller or take it off the bags, it's just in the way. I have cleaned several bags for re-use and they worked fine.

    I have a commercial grade vacuum sealer from cabela's and these bags are not of the same quality as the ones that came with the sealer. The bags are lighter and more fragile and not nearly as good. They are usable though and extra cooling time is neede between sealings due to the small air passages in the bag.
