Flotation tires stabilize the trailer on rough terrain
Whatever your hauling needs, this ATV trailer is sure to handle them all while optimizing efficiency. The heavy-duty all-steel frame, strong wheel bearings and 18" x 9-1/2"-8 flotation tires will stabilize the trailer when crossing rough terrain. Other highlights include a tilting bed to increase unloading efficiency and removable rails and tailgate. The optional Tracking Axle four-wheel kit offers maximum stability over the roughest terrain. Bed size: 60"L x 31"W x 20" (with rails). Capacity: 1,250 lbs. Available:
In anticipation of a couple of lengthy ATV trips this past summer and fall I purchased this trailer and the trailing axle assembly. Putting it together was not an issue and with the addition of a custom made wire mesh shelf mounted the entire interior length and width about 15 inches above the trailer's deck I was able to load 11 5 gallon fuel cans underneath the second floor and 2 fully loaded 48 quart coolers, two 1/4" pieces of 30"x60" plywood (for table tops# and some assorted lightweight softgoods #foam pads, sleeping bags) to complete the load. We pulled this on one very rough 260 mile trip on Forest Service Roads with a 650 Kawasaki with absolutely no problems. This fall, during Idaho's elk season, we used it extensively for hauling firewood to camp. Having to fuel three woodstoves for two and half weeks consumed alot of lodgepole and this trailer never let us down.
Took a 175 mile ATV trip on Idaho forrest service roads recently and with a total load of approximately 200 pounds. The wheel bearings failed even though they were greased, the wire mesh flooring gave way front and back, the tilt latch broke allowing the basket to go free. This trailer is suitable for only hauling yard waste.
Assembley was uneventfull. I changed some of the bolt lengths. Strong trailer. Handles a full load of dirt with ease. My only complaint is the rust on the side racks and bottom. I put it together and it set outside for two month before I used it. My only comment for improvement is if the hold down for the trailer tilt was constructed on a slant on the bottom rather than square the trailer may lower and catch withou having to pull the latch out to let it engage.
