Our new Supershell fabric makes the ultimate shell for the rigors of upland hunting. Light enough not to weigh you down in the field, but rugged enough to shed clingy vegetation and burs. The shell is bonded to a windproof, water-resistant WindShear™ liner that keeps heat-robbing winds locked safely outside. And it's packable just in case the weather heats up and you need to stow it away. That makes this jacket perfect for wearing with a traditional vest, alone or ideal for use with strap vests. It's a layering piece specifically geared for the upland hunter lightweight, tough and windproof. Articulated elbows with gussets enhance freedom of movement. Imported. Sizes: M-2XL. Color: Tan/Blaze.
At first I was really excited about this purchase for light weight protection while pheasant and quail hunting.
In concept this has the ability to become a really good jacket once the company makes some modifications. Nice light weight jacket material.
Sleeve length is too long. Sleeve cuffs are floppy and the neoprene type material at the cuffs is ripping after only having worn the jacket 3 times around town! No brambles, just errands around town. Sizes run large. I am 6' and 200 lbs. and an extra large is a bit too big with sleeves that are too long.
Advise customers that the jacket runs large, even when layering. Correct the sleeve length, add some sort of cuff closure, ditch the neoprene material, add pit zips for ventilation and this will be a winner!
I'll be happy to retry this jacket in the future, given the above is addressed.
As many other reviews have stated, the cuffs need some type of adjustment and the collar is too large. The sleeves are also a bit too long. Other than that it is a great jacket.
Recently the crazy Nebraska weather allowed me to try this jacket out in 50 and 10 degree weather with winds gusting to 20 mph. Agree with a previous review that this jacket's collar is too loose allowing the chill to enter. As previously reviewed, paired with the base camp fleece it works well especially in cold temps (10 degrees with a -4 wind chill). The cuffs could use a Velcro closure, but the open cuff with the longer length of the sleeve allowed the sleeve to stay over my glove regardless of movement, keeping the cold out. Despite the cold wind I stayed warm. Range of motion was still great even with the fleece layer underneath. If I didn't already have a vest I would have purchased one of the upland coats with a game bag. Overall still a good jacket that requires layering for cold weather.
