Great fleece!

You gotta' love Polartec!! This jacket is fantastic! It's soft, comfortable, warm, breathes extremely well and is great for layering. I find I'm wearing it around the house just because it's so comfortable. The full length zipper allows you to open it to vent heat if you get warm or zip it up high to keep warmth in. It breathes very well but that does mean the wind goes through it too. In windy conditions you'll definitely want a shell layer over the top.

Very Versatile Jacket
Date:
This is the 4th Polartec Jacket I have purchased in the last 6-7 years. They start to look a little threadbare on the elbows after being used a couple of years. It is a great light weight jacket for cold and/or windy days. To me it acts a lot like Gortex without the waterproof advantage of Gortex. It stops the wind and keeps the body warm. This 200 thickness works very well for the cool, crisp morning weather out here in the West. It is good looking enough to wear to work (assuming yours is not a suit and tie job) and/or a restaurant. It resists rain for a period of time however I carry a Gortex shell to wear over this jacket if it is rainy. The sizing runs about right though I like to "layer" and thus order one size larger. The first version I purchased had several "inside" pockets, one even zipped; the Cabella 200 versions NO longer come with any inside pockets, just the 2 handwarmer outside pockets (though they are deep). My wife and several friends that I introduced to Polartec are also believers in this jacket's ability to keep them warm. I recently purchased a 300 Polartec Jacket Version; it does have to be a bit cooler to wear comfortably when partaking of outdoor activities. (The 300 does have an extra outside zippered pocket.) Overall, from the mountains to the seashore, hiking or UTVing, the Polartec Jacket is a very versatile layer that I highly recommend.

ok for the price
Date:
I use this jacket as my outer layer worn under my Ice Armor suite. It works great but sheds little yellow fuzz balls everywere. I would recommend it for it's warmth, feel and look but it sheds like a house cat! Fair enough for the price I guess.
