Nice Compact Lamp
Date:
This lamp provides all the UV power you need to cure today's new epoxies in a nice compact package. I keep one of my tying desk at home and one in my Fishpond Tomahawk Travel Tying Kit. Great product.

Loon Light
Date:
I have the smaller Loon lamp that came with the Loon knot and patch kit. I got this larger lamp based on a friend's recommendation that this would be more efficient and quicker. I can't tell the difference with the results when used on the Knot Sense and their wader repair solution because they are both quick with the smaller lamp, large lamp, or the sun. But what I'm excited about is that this is a great lamp for powering the luminous beads, lures, and strike indicators. I got rid of that large camera type flash unit and carry only this little lamp. Just shine the light on the luminous product you are charging. You control the amount and application of light. The folks around you aren't blinded by a flash. Depending on the condition of the lure, the glow holds bright for at least 30 minutes for a new lure and fades slowly and then needs recharging. I have an old favorite lure that I rejuvenated by using Cabela's Sight Paint Kit (for gun sights). This light works great on it and it holds the charge almost like new.
