Great little UV lamp

I got this lamp so that I could cure UV Knot Sense without depending on a sunny day. Works better than sunlight, can be used any time of day and even came with the batteries. Great to have espeically if you build leaders at home or in camp.

Great for curing u.v. knot sense on wingcases for copper johns and for activating glow in the dark indicators for night fishing.

I have tied my own leaders for some time now & used Loon's Knot Sense to coat the blood knots so the leader won't hang up on the rod guides. Curing used to be a pain, with the need to have a sunny day and hanging the finished/'knot-sensed' leaders in the sun, hopefully not sticking the coated knots to any surface. Now, if I need to tie leaders at night or when there's no sun, it's a snap! Love the little lamp and with 50 hours out of the batteries, 5 seconds per cured knot, I can't see any complaints.

works fine but it is hard to keep batteries fresh and the batteries are
expensive. the side button is easy to leave on if kept in the foam
holder and not set in exactly right. on - off could be better designed.
The knot sense works great and I've found many uses but the light
design needs work.
