A miss by an inch
Date:
I like inflatable decoys and I really liked the hard realistic head on this one. The photo in the catalog looked a little too brownish but I still rolled the dice on it and paid full price.
It isn't a bad decoy, but it simply doesn't look like a wild turkey. Wild turkeys are almost black from a distance. This thing is brown at any distance.
I had it out with a Skeery decoy. My hunting buddies walked up and thought for a moment that a live bird was checking out the brown decoy.
They told me to early retire the brown Primos decoy and stick with the Skeery.

Works Great

When I recieved the decoy I didn't know it had a nylon cover and wasn't too keen on the decoy out of the box. It's a little smaller than my other decoys but does look very realistic especially in the sunshine. Used this decoy in KY and IN. I set out this lone decoy and each time a Tom saw it they locked up and strutted all the way into the decoy. I have never hadToms lock up like they did with this decoy. One 3 year old stayed at the decoy spitting, drumming and struting for around 4 minutes before I could him out of strut. Geat decoy, it will always be in my vest.
