The world’s most popular brass cleaning and polishing systems. Nearly twice as fast as old-style rotating-barrel tumblers, their unique design allows media to constantly swirl around fully immersed cases. High-speed, agitated motion cleans and polishes every case. Inspect cases without stopping the cleaning operation. Auto-Flo® Self-Separating Tumblers save time by automatically draining the media through an exit port in the bowl, leaving only polished brass. Draining takes only a couple of minutes and eliminates the need to remove the bowl and extra handling of the cleaned cases.
Fouling must be cleaned from the inside and outside of cartridge cases if you want the most in accuracy and performance from your custom loads. The Auto-Flo Self-Separating Tumblers help save your valuable reloading time by automatically draining the media through an exit port in the bowl, leaving only polished brass. Draining takes only a couple of minutes and eliminates the need to remove the bowl and extra handling of the cleaned cases. The 2500 Pro Magnum AutoFloTumbler is built for the high-volume reloader. It works fine as a tumbler. The AutoFlo isnt worth any extra $, I wish mine didnt have it since it doesnt work very well, it also requires more media to use than without AutoFlo, I have duct taped over the port so it cant spill out.
The Auto Flo is very helpful but does not "leave only polished brass". It does help to get most of the media out but you still need to empty every shell, at least when using walnut media. I haven't tried corn cob. It was easy to put together and works great, in most cases it doesn't walk but it can, I use mine on the floor so that I don't have to worry about it falling on the floor. BTW, mine came with a switch on the side of the unit and it works fine. What works well for me is the walnut media with a couple gobs of car polish. Personally I use Meguir's since I have it on hand. Every few loads I need to air out the media to let it dry. If you're in a hurry you can put in on a tray in the oven on low heat and it dries out nicely in an hour or 2. If your shells are clean 4 hours may work okay but it you have old or tarnished brass don't hesitate to leave it in overnight. Overnight tumbling does make much shinier brass, which I like, so that's all I do now. If any shells are still tarnished you can keep throwing them into the next batch until they are shiny and clean too.
This is the first tumbler I have ever owned and I think I got the right one. Gotta have the self emptying feature. I use the corn cob media and polish form Cabelas and it works fine. I put a bit of polish on top of the media and work it in with my fingers before turning on the machine, that way I know it is well mixed
