Better than the RCBS
Date:
I had an RCBS version of this and had 2 key pad failures so I bought the Hornady at a much lower price. I didn't realize what I was missing! I double weighed all loads with the RCBS because of inconsistency. I have found fantastic consistenct with this Hornady - and no keypad failures!!

Poor quality control
Date:
Right out of the box my scale had a big ball of fuzz lodged under the LCD cover which partially blocked it and looked bad. I wasn't about to pull it apart and void the warranty so I thought I'd just exchange it for another; but I wanted to test the unit first. I can sum up this scale in one word. SLOW!!! I adjusted it every which way I could and it was pathetically slow. It would dispense fairly quickly up till the last 2 tenths of a grain and then just twitch occasionally and took another 1-2 minutes till it beeped to let me know it reached the desired weight. I tried it with both ball and extruded powder and neither worked well. Considering the value and the pathetic performance of this unit, I decided I'd rather use a stand alone digital scale and hand measure and trickle my charges.

hornady autocharge

Purchased this product to improve the accuracy of the powder charges I load. One caliber I load only has 1 grain difference between the recommended starting load and the Max allowed. I loaded 250 rounds and the overload feature only stopped the dispenser once. It was simple as pouring the powder back into the hopper and placing the pan back on the scale, then hit the enter button to resume the process.
The machine was consistant. No loads were under the amount of charge entered and only 3 were .1 grains over. I would recommend this product for accuracy,
