Get in and out of the bed of your pickup easier with Step Gate. This aftermarket addition fits any truck and is reversible, allowing it to be mounted on either side of the tailgate. Even with the handle and step attached, the tailgate is free to close and the Step Gate is out of the way and ready to use the next time you need it. The handle position lets you step down either backwards or forwards. It even helps transport items safely and securely. The step holds lumber, propane bottles and other items in place when driving. Successfully tested to accommodate up to a 400-lb. person.
Available: Single Step, Double Step - Right, Double Step - Left.

good idea

bought the 2 step model for use with a 3500 dodge 4X4 . The thought behind the design is great but the product is not made of heavy enough tubing. The locking device for the second step broke the first time I steped on the bottom step. the riveted hinge is a joke. i had to do some welding and other modifications to make it useable.

Bogus Manufacturer Warranty

Got the 2 step version....piece was broken on the step part....called the "warranty" telephone number ....said I had to ups the part back to them at my expense and they would see if they can fix it.....didn't seem to care when I told him that I would be returning it to Cabela's for a refund.....won't be buying this junk again....will get something else at Cabela

Purchased for my father--he is 67 and was tired of getting out a step stool to get into the bed of his Ford F150. He is very pleased with the convenience and ease of use.

I am an older guy with bad hips and knees, so my wife purchased the step for Easter instead of chocolate. The step works wonderfully but most of todays trucks have plastic tailgate liners which is not mentionned in the instructions. Something else I have encountered is my tonneau cover does not close because of the step interference, I have to remove the step every time I want to close my cover. I am grateful there is a quick release knob to remove it.
