I've been using smelly jelly for years now. Mostly for walleye fishing in Wisconsin where I live but also for salmon fishing on Lake Michigan.
Doesn't matter if I'm jigging with plastics, casting stick baits or trolling crank baits, smelly jelly goes on everything (except live bait) before I put it in the water.
